The Departing Table

In "The Departing Table," a symbolic representation of the passing of time takes center stage. A cooker, continuously opening and closing, becomes a metaphor for the relentless progression of time. Each opening and closing motion sets the table into motion, causing the bowls, symbolizing family members, to tremble. Gradually, the bowls succumb to gravity, falling and shattering one by one. This gradual disintegration echoes the departure of my family members from the dinner table, mirroring the emotional fragmentation caused by their departures.
